Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Information Technology is offering BCA Program designed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University – the affiliating University from 2021 onwards. The norms and standards for the delivery of the course – as laid down by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University are followed at the Institute. The BCA program consists of six semesters. Each semester comprises five theory subjects and three practical subjects - except the last two semesters. In the fifth and sixth semester the students are offered three compulsory theory papers along with an elective subject. Further, the students are given exposure to work on live projects as per the industry standards. In addition to this, every semester has practicals related to Communication Skills, Cyber Ethics, Software Development Skills and Personality Development Skills along with Summer Training Projects which equates to the weightage of one paper. Such practicals allow the students to go beyond the BCA syllabus and make them IT industry ready.
BCIIT implements the Teaching-Learning process which is accomplished by the dedicated faculty members through rigorous planning and its execution. Students undergo classroom lectures, tutorials, assignments, case study discussions, seminars/ webinars, hands on training sessions, workshops and guest lecturers from eminent speakers from the industry and academia. In each practical subject, besides writing individual programmes, students carry out mini applications/ projects. In the Fifth and Sixth semesters students carry out minor and major project enhancing their IT skill set. In BCIIT students are given exposure to research topics beyond the syllabus, covering the latest trends in technology.

Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with pass in English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or Computer Science / or any other subject related to Computer Science. OR Three year Diploma in a branch of Engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
